with SPECIA - The Experts and Managerial Professionals Association

SPECIA is a trade union that represents the interests of people who work in specialist and supervisory positions in administration, business life and other organizations. We promote good labour relations as well as our members' professional and educational rights.

We provide counselling and advisory services on work related issues such as salary and employment relationship.

We have almost 6 000 members. One could describe our members by enclosed statements.

• They are all highly educated and their work requires specialised knowledge. The positions held by our members generally require a university degree.

• They've studied education, languages, cultural research, history and other humanistic and educational subjects.

• They work as executive directors, HR professionals, planners and for example coordinators.

• Most of them are professional and managerial employees with high degree of independence and responsibility.

SPECIA is an affiliate of Akava Special Branches and the Confederation of Unions for Academic Professionals AKAVA.
